Two experienced anglers have tried the outfit and found it quite acceptable to them. It never ceases to amaze me how difficult these decisions are for the beginner. There are so many choices! The product was well packaged and the instructions made it easy to get started. The 4 piece design is superior to other two piece rod designs I have looked it. It is easy to stow in a smaller vehicle. I took the outfit to a small stocked pond to try it out and had instant success. I next took it to one of our small catch and release streams in North Carolina. I had a little trouble getting used to the brush and trees on this small stream but I learned to pick my spots and everything worked quite well. I next went our New River and it was excellent there. I believe I may buy a shorter rod for use on the smaller overgrown streams. There is really no way around this. I will continue to be a fan of the Scientific Angler equipment and... Read more
